Videos

On February 19, 2016 from 1:30-3:30 we will be hosting a 2-hour Biz Kid$ TV Series event.  It will be held at the Marathon County Public Library (MCPL), but the event is not sponsored in any way by the MCPL. If you missed this event, you can find the Biz Kid$ resources online at www.bizkids.com.  Some clips are showing in part on YouTube, and the whole series is available to watch in your home through Amazon Prime.  The two episodes we will focus on are: “Introducing Entrepreneurs” and “Crash Course in Starting a Business”.

Websites and Books
www.kidpreneurs.org – the website that goes along with the book “Kidpreneurs: Young Entrepreneurs with Big Ideas” by Adam and Matthew Toren.  Has great short videos, a free book offer and a blog with kids who have developed businesses.

www.bizkids.com – the website that goes along with the TV show mentioned above.  This website has a ton of great resources.  One of our favorites is the Kids Business Plan.

Online MBA – Educational Reference for Business and Money Math – This page has a bunch of good links to help teach things like Money Math Skills, The Value of Coins and Dollars, Adding & Subtracting Money, and Money Lesson Plans. (Thank you, Nicole, for letting us know about this great resource!)

Checklists

Sample Weekly Countdown– this is a PDF we made for our own family’s sanity so we knew what had to be happening for the fair, and when!

Other Resources

Here are some sites that posted photos of their entrepreneurial kids business fairs.  It will give students more visual ideas about how to prep their booth/table space:

Kentucky: Fayette County Public Schools Entrepreneurship Fair 2009
Texas: The Acton Children’s Business Fair 2011

If you know of any other great resources, please contact us and we’ll add them to the web page.
